Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill) is in an easy to reach area, at its current location since 1936. Many of our members come here from Hoddesdon, Broxbourne, and Nazeing. We also have members who come from further afield from Cheshunt, Enfield, Hertford, Ware, Stanstead Abbotts and Bishops Stortford who find it worth travelling that extra distance to join in our friendly atmosphere.
As a private members club with excellent facilities, Hoddesdon Bowls Club (Rosehill) enables members of all abilities to enjoy a wide range of recreational and/or competitive lawn bowls activities throughout the summer season, during April to September. In addition, our members enjoy a wide variety of other recreational and social activities throughout the whole year.
The club's new pergola construction is well underway following planning permission being granted. Completion is anticipated before the start of the new outdoor season. This will create a superb area for members to enjoy a drink in the fresh air.
The club house was full with so many members and other guests joining Ray to celebrate his special day. There was singing, dancing and merriment into the early hours. A wonderful evening was had by all.
Our annual Ladies' Gala was held at the end of August and raised almost £1000 for Club funds. Under typical summer skies, the rain held off for our annual barbecue , where over 90 members enjoyed good food and listening and dancing to music by 'Jamie' Many thanks to Dave Garrard and his team for all the work they put in to make the event such a success
All six rinks were in use during our Opening Day Drive. An afternoon of bowling to get used to the green after the winter break from outdoor bowling was followed by a drink at the bar.
The clubhouse was full this evening with nearly 60 members meeting for a pre outdoor season get together. There was a choice of three meals, quite a few gherkins, beer, wine and a good natter and laughter to accompany the meal. An excellent way to see in the new season!

Lots of fun was had by a group of members who travelled to Ascot by coach to enjoy a full day of racing. The day was enhanced by a beer festival taking place at the event.
